We all love going shopping for sure, but spending lots of your hard-earned money on a single trip to the mall might no be the best part about a shopping spree...But what if we could tell you, you could save some money by just applying some simple tips and tricks?
Believe it or not, buying new clothes doesn’t have to be expensive or hard if you know how to do it. That’s why, today, we’re going to help you put together a simple, short list you have to check before buying anything, let’s go.
#1: Clean out your whole closet first
This is an underrated tip that many people seem to forget before they go on a shopping spree and it’s essential! Cleaning your closet will allow you to know which pieces of clothes you already have, and will give you a general idea of what you’re missing, and what you can -and should- buy.
Take this opportunity to get rid off any clothing items you aren’t wearing and either recycle them or donate them... And if you’re feeling brave enough, organize your clothes by colors as well!
#2: Make a list of what you’re looking for
If it’s Fall or Winter time, you might be looking either for a huge coat or even a windbreaker (preferably an  Elpē windbreaker)  to protect you for the cold, or maybe it’s summer and you’re looking for a comfy t-shirt to wear around.
The point is, make a list to take with you when shopping and look for the items you KNOW you need and will actually wear instead of spending money on things that’ll never get to the see the sunlight.
#3: Spend more money on jeans that on shirts
Let us explain; jeans last way longer than regular shirts, and can have a longer lifetime, meaning investing in a good pair on jeans is actually a good idea, since you’ll probably wearing them for a long, long time.

Meanwhile, cut the money you spend on shirts and try to find cute yet affordable top parts that go well with the jeans, shorts and skirts you already have at home, without having to spend most of your budget on them.
#4: Buy versatile clothes
Don’t buy things you know only match with one item on your wardrobe, buy skirts, jeans, shirts and more than can mix and blend with most of your current closet!
The idea here is for you to build almost a capsule wardrobe, meaning multiple pieces of clothing that can mix and match between them and create different, versatile outfits!
#5: Spend some money on statement pieces
Last, but not least, statement pieces can make an outfit go from a six to a ten in a matter of seconds. Investing in a good jacket, a hat, a pair of boots... Anything that will complement your existing clothes but will make them pop, is always a great idea.
Don’t be afraid to experiment and try out buying new things you normally wouldn’t, trust us, statement pieces are necessary and will be a great plus to your wardrobe!
